Wild Love Bug |=| Aimee & Mike
It was a peaceful evening in the countryside. The clouds were gathering as the herds hurriedly made their way home before dusk. You could hear the distant coo of unidentified volery of birds warning of impending rain. The crickets were lining up their limbs and wings to stridulate the ultimate nature’s soundtrack. The tune that is only completed by the fragrance of smoke from the firewood and the gentle cold breeze. Suddenly, a dramatic, powerful, deafeningly loud crackling sound that tore through the moment and pressed pause. We thought it was thunder but no, thunder doesn’t last that long. Then we thought maybe we had drifted and got caught up in a wildebeest stampede but no, it wasnt. We thought a train had derailed and would appear any minute through the tall african grass and Yes! we were almost spot on as a 1968 vw beetle was brought to a sudden halt by a boulder and Aimee and Mikey jumped out to safety! The herds had disappeared, the birds and crickets were now silent and the wind had come to some sort of stillness, Just right and perfect for our photoshoot.
Earlier in the day, people from far and near had come to the countryside to witness the union of Aimee and Mike
there were guys from the VWA fraternity
locks were in place to ensure all protocols would be observed
but alas, as all this was happening, Mike was just about to start preparing!
he had time to pose with his lil thunder AMY
he had time to fix the engine of his lil thunder AMY
who knew that nature would provide such an awesome setup?
the groomsmen quickly changed into their Maasai regalia
entertainment was handled by the world renowned Prince of Benga and his band
there was no resisting
back to the photoshoot… I had dreamt of this photo for a long time, a very long time
Modelling just came naturally
there was no missing the detail at the back of her dress..
This had been fun, every single moment of the day. We hardly noticed as the actual rain started to threaten to dissolve us and our gear live and we had to pack up and go. We wish Aimee and Mikey a marriage full of bliss and God’s blessing. Please feel free to leave your comments and messages of goodwill below. God bless you.
