Fun Mastery ~ Harriet and Jay
Some say Marriage is when a man loses his Bachelor’s Degree and a woman gains a Masters Degree. The story you are about to read is a story about best friends, real best friends, the kind that for real, for life. Harriet has been an ardent follower of this blog for the longest while. See, Harriet fell for a man in uniform. They say there’s something about men in uniform :O well, this is her’s and Jay’s story that i can’t do justice with words but with pictures….
His grooms men clearly had ideas
interestingly, Joe and I thought of construction while setting up the day’s regalia for photos!
what a beautiful bride…
onto the selected modes of transportation
you never go wrong with Vintage Fords
then the grand entry. I’ve seen few grooms this enthustuatic about walking down the aisle. Jay simply danced the butterflies away to the song “Mwema” by Mercy Masika
when it got to the chorus he let go like David in the bible
Na siwezi jizuia, kusema wako wema
(And I shall not stop myself from proclaiming your goodness)
Na sio kama najigamba, umenitenda mema
(It is not that I boast for myself, you have been good to me)
Umekuwa mwema kwangu (You have been good to me)
Umenitoa gizani, nilipokuwa nimeshikwa mateka
(You removed me from darkness, where I was held prisoner)
Ukanipa tumaini, kwako nikajificha
(You gave me hope, And I hid myself in You)
Sasa nitakupa nini, iwe sawa na yale umenitenda?
(What shall I give You, equal to what you have done for me?)
Hakuna ila moyoni, sifa nitakuimbia
(Nothing. Only in my heart, I will sing Your praises)
the bridal party promptly picked up the cue
even Shosh could not “Jizuia”
it’s always a tad overwhelming for Mums
The grand exit with Full honors by real officers in The United States Air Force
just like that we started off our mini random photoshoot
We then headed back to the reception party after an attire change that would allow for dancing in the January sun
The chief photographer was honored with a piece of cake! How cool was that!
I had really looked forward to this session and everything was just perfect!
We wish Harriet and Jay a life and Marriage full of happyness and blessings.
