Waruisapix Affair||Tina weds Steve

This is personal wedding blogpost. Today i blog with my heart. I now get it when my clients have a difficult time choosing what images they would prefer printed by being spoilt for choice. We had planned for quite a simple wedding and loved the outcome. I am a wedding photographer and Tina is a geologist so striking a balance would have been tricky but it seems like in the end I dominated the theme cause of my love for vintage VWs which despite all odds I’ve driven daily for the last 9 years across the country and continent.

God has been faithful to Tina and I. We dated for 7 years, 8 months and 10-01-2015 will always be special to us. You see Tina is the complete package, exactly what every man wishes for and often I find myself puzzled at why she agreed to marry me. see, its easy to make her laugh. Her smile dazzles the room. She saw the strengths in me way before anybody else did and has always pushed me towards my optimum. She’s sharp, intuitive, trendy and fun to hang out with and I love her to death. First time I saw her I thought to myself I should marry her….

One day I was working at the airport…

Lo and behold! A star fell out of the plane

She had so much luggage and i offered to help

but soon my intentions were exposed

I had to wade off competition

anyways, we’ll come back to that story later…

Back to the main day, preps were underway

Sim and Kim of Halisee  found toy cars in my apartment, which turned out to be interesting props that blended into the day’s theme..

and yes, this dress completely stole the show! wonderful creation  by Dan of Tchisau Fashions

The boys were ready to head out. As a first, I self drove my 1968 vw kombi and took along the crew and groomsmen

the ladies were far from ready

so we went to the car wash 

Dan of Tchisau Fashions  dropped by just to make sure there were no wardrobe malfunctions

a wedding is a very expensive affair I tell you

Meanwhile at the church, Mellen, our wedding planner was consoling me that everything was going to be fine. Her motto is “Taking off the stress on your wedding day” and her company is called Forever Beautiful

victory was ours!

The prefered mode of transport was Olivia, a 1973 vw beetle that went perfectly with the blue and grey colour scheme 8)

this was a reckoning moment. My heart stood still and i was afraid my knees would collapse

We then set out to stop traffic, no other brand does it better

it was now time for serious business..

and back to the photoshoot, we wanted a fun, not done before set. Joe Maina and Hezron were the most resourceful they have ever been

again, Joyce was available and we had the last set of photos taken near/inside her. She means alot to our relationship as she has been there from the dating days to going for traditional ceremonies in Siaya to taking a tour of Africa…

It was an awesome day. God had come through for us in an amazing way. We thank God, our families, friends and service providers, all who were our friends first.
