Joanne+Steve| Kiss The Rain
Research has shown that 137 out of every 138 brides to be in Kenya are scared stiff of rain on their wedding day. Many are known to hold many a serious night vigils praying for good weather – read sun, on their wedding day. Joan amazed me by her free spiritedness and no weather would dare stand in her way to having fun. This was however in the later hours of the day and most of the day was filled with dazzling smiles from the many friends and family who had come to witness this big day. I must confess that i had mad fun and felt like the day had just blinked away. I had shot Joan and Steve’s engagement (here) and I was honoured to be involved me in theming…. I remember Joan saying the only thing she’d be looking out for in the photos would be color!!! the rest is history and we do wish them a looooong, happy and successful marriage

The chosen shoes were just perfect to ensure a fresh bride all day long 🙂
Steve was ready early and decided to review his vows…
this shot of the girl by Joe Maina made my day… – Her dreams are valid
we headed to the Menonite guest house where Steve and Joan had their engagement shoot for a brief photo session
After the wonderful reception Lunch, we headed to the city for some final shots
Moses and Wanini (their wedding here) wanted a “selfie” with the couple
Then it was Mackii and Lamaz’s turn (their wedding here)
then we got on with the shoot
it was Amos’ and Charity’s baby first appearance at a wedding
we had enough of indoor and decided to venture into the rain
This Kiss moved me and was the sweetest moment of the day
we found a delivery bike which could not take a passenger
so instead we headed to the casino to try make some money to buy a car
but the car had a puncture and was no good after all
so it was time for some “Open happiness”
But Steve insisted he wanted more money in cash form
we called it a night but on the way to the car, we ran into Mr Victor Mbuvi, Mr Kwata kawaya himself and couldnt resist a jive 😛
Oh well, it had been real. God bless this union.
